The Pens to host the Crapitals?

Maybe!

First of all, 50 and cloudy. Boo.

Secondly, how freaking awesome would it be to host the Winter Classic?

Third, the thought of Cros vs Ove in an outdoors, backyard brawl-style game could quite possibly make all my husband’s wildest dreams come true. (Just say, “If you vote for me, all of your wildest dreams will come true.” Anyone? Anyone?)

Finally, if going from possibly having our team relocated to another city to being Stanley Cup Champs isn’t enough…bring on the Winter Classic!

(Also, have you become our fan yet? Carly has a cold, so have some sympathy.)

Lastly this:

  1. Wish I could be there this weekend… I’ve always wanted to see The Cup.

But I will be in Pittsburgh at the end of July… I sent an email about that to your gmail address… Let me know what you think… You can email me back directly.

  2. This has got to be a mortal lock, right? The only other places I could see it happening is Yankee Stadium (but now they have a bowl game there on Dec 30) or possibly in Minneapolis or Detroit. But TV folks just have to salivate at the camera-ready views of the downtown triangle and the rivers. Try finding anything to show in the winter in Detroit!

I was considering other cities when I suddenly realized: how is that the state of Wisconsin has never been able to snag an NHL team, but Phoenix, Tampa, and Anaheim have them? Sucks for them.

I’m sure hoping so. Besides, we deserve it. We’ll get the best ratings, too. Pens vs. Caps? Heck yah.
