I’m so excited!

Call me lame, call me a nerd, call me cheap. I love to save money. And free stuff. Saving money and free stuff. Ask any family member and they’ll tell you my motto: “Why pay full price?”

I love a good deal. I mean, I really love a good deal. Every morning I get e-mails from Groupon and LivingSocial. Now, typically, I don’t ever need what is being offered. But sometimes they make an offer I can’t refuse. Today, at LivingSocial, I couldn’t refuse it. It was a 20 dollar Amazon.com giftcard for only 10 bucks. I love Amazon.com. I mean, I really, really love Amazon.com. I use it for everything I could possibly need. I got Matt’s team members gift cards from there for Christmas, that’s how much I love it. I figure – everyone should love it, too. (FYI, for those who love Amazon.com as much as I do, if you go here you can get free Amazon prime. For how long? I don’t know. I still have it after 6 months.)

So I’m excited. Super excited. Free stuff rocks.

I also get 10 dollars in Amazon.com gift cards a month from Gatorade, but that’s just because I’m on their opinion panel. That is one sweet deal for sure.

Well then, moving on, Swagbucks: http://www.swagbucks.com/refer/Cassandrelu . Have you guys heard of it yet? I did a few months back and I’m sold. So far, I’ve gotten almost 40 dollars in Amazon.com gift cards. And all you do is search. It’s pretty awesome, if you ask me.

At first, I thought, all you have to do is search? You get points? Then you cash it in? Cool.

Then I realized that you can do so much more than just search.

I found this website: http://www.we-love-swag-bucks.com/ And it explained all the ins and outs of Swagbucks so I don’t have to. I get on average about 30 to 50 a day. It takes 450 to get a 5 dollar Amazon.com gift card. You do the math. Some times I get a lot more, like today, when I got the LivingSocial deal through Swagbucks. That got me extra points.

So Join up! Then tell your friends! And as you refer them, you get more points! It’s like a Pyramid scheme that actually works. And that almost frightens me, since nothing in life is free…

I’m also excited, because while Matt is channel surfing, he continuously stops on The Princess Diaries. Ha!

  1. That’s so awesome. I do Groupon and Seize the Deal, and I can’t wait to check out this Swagbucks business. Saving a dollar gives me a thrill like nothing else.

  2. I’m also a deal hunter! Just signed up for swagbucks. Let’s see how this goes!

  3. I got the Amazon deal on Living Social, too! Couldn’t pass that up. I already download mp3s like a fool on there with the 50 for $5 list, and now that I have a Kindle, I have a feeling I’ll be sending most of my money to Amazon.

And now I DEFINITELY need to check out Swagbucks.

Have you used ebates? I haven’t been ordering online as much as I used to so I forget to use it, but it’s a pretty good deal, too. You get a percentage of your purchase as cash back in your Paypal account.

  4. Also, I’m a huge fan of http://www.retailmenot.com. They have all the coupon codes for ordering online. I’ve used it for JCPenneys, Bare Necessities and Shutterly, all successfully and usually save around $10 each time!
